About The Patch

It all started 24 years ago when David and Julie Donald planted large pumpkins in a small field next to their home on their dairy farm. As time went on, they continued to plant more pumpkins and varieties each year, offering them for sale to the community and surrounding area. Eventually in 2018 the dairy farm shut down after 70 years of operation and The Patch has continued to grow year after year.

In 2022, David and Julie’s son, Matt, and his wife Kim and family, established Whalen Oaks Farm, LLC. Matt and Kim are now working alongside David and Julie, to help keep David and Julie’s legacy alive by continuing to provide a wide variety of quality pumpkins, squash, and gourds to the community through The Patch.
